DJ MC THEO is a top DJ based in Greece from Burkina Faso 🇧🇫 with over 15 years of experience in Greece, specialized in African and Afro Latin rhythms. For the past 10 years he was the resident DJ at Folie club, one the oldest night clubs in Athens (since 1994) and also the resident MC at Sunny club, one of the most renowned African clubs in the city.
Teranga Beat (aka Adamantios Kafetzis) is a visual artist, record collector, DJ, owner of the label Teranga Beat, and curator of the website Eligo Audio Culture. He crafts DJ sets of rare intensity and true feeling, always introducing improbable recordings. Through thorough research and frequent visits to Senegal and its neighboring countries, he decided to create Teranga Beat Records to bring a hidden chapter of West African music to the forefront.
Stivako is the founder of La Saramuya Picó. His sets blend traditional and more contemporary Picó sounds — African, Afro-Latin, Brazilian and Caribbean rhythms from the 1970s to today — recreating the raw energy and experience of the legendary Picó street parties (known as “Verbenas”).
La Saramuya @lasaramuya is a Picó Sound System born from an immersion in Colombia’s Caribbean culture. Inspired by Barranquilla’s carnival and the legendary Picó street parties known as “Verbenas”, La Saramuya is a fully Barranquilla-built picó now based in Athens, Greece and moving across Europe. This Picó was built with the guidance and specifications of local experts, and embodies the craftsmanship and sound that define this culture, including the artwork by Maestro William Gutiérrez. A smaller sister picó remains in Barranquilla, maintaining the connection between both systems and fostering cultural exchange. Blending new and old sounds, La Saramuya carries a clear cultural mission to transport the dance floor into a musical Odyssey, remaining faithful to her roots with every performance, to make this culture grow and evolve, always with the utmost respect to the Cultura Picotera.
