Four bands of the modern instrumental scene join forces in an evening full of intensity, atmosphere and pure musical expression, without words but with infinite emotion:
Mothership Mercury is an Athenian instrumental post-rock/post-metal band that stands out for its particularly cinematic and psychedelic sound.
They were formed in Athens in 2019 and are a trio that bases their music on heavy guitar riffs, atmospheric passages and dynamic climaxes!
Their concept is also characteristic: their name and theme are connected to a futuristic/cosmic narrative about humanity and evolution, something that is also reflected in their musical feel — like a journey into space and the deconstruction of the world as we know it.
They have already released an EP and their self-titled debut album, with appearances in venues of the Athenian scene, where the band stands out for the intensity and atmosphere of their live shows.
Dead Flag Blues is an Athenian instrumental/post-rock band that stands out for its dark, cinematic sound and its large, atmospheric compositions.
The band mainly moves in a post-rock and post-metal aesthetic, with songs that build slowly, based on dynamic climaxes, drone textures and intense emotional charge. Their characteristic is the sense of “narrative without words”, where the music functions as a soundscape — from calm, almost ambient moments to heavy and explosive climaxes.
They have released their first album “Traumatique”, which received a positive response in the underground scene, with an emphasis on their dense atmosphere and post-metal influences.
Catapult The Sun is an Athenian instrumental band that stands out in the contemporary Greek underground scene with a particularly heavy and cinematic sound.
They were formed in 2019 in Athens and move mainly in areas such as doom, sludge and drone metal, with a strong emphasis on the instrumental element.
The band was formed by musicians who came from other projects and consciously chose the instrumental form, in order to build songs outside the verse–chorus logic and give greater freedom to the composition.
They have released EPs and their first full-length album “Martyrdom” (2026), where they present their sound more fully: heavy riffs, dark atmosphere and almost ritual aesthetics.
Afterwise is an Athenian instrumental band that moves in the post-rock / post-metal space, with an emphasis on atmospheric soundscapes and dynamic compositions.
The band started around 2015 (as Chew Gravel) and then evolved into Afterwise, leaving behind the vocals and adopting a purely instrumental approach, with a more mature and cinematic sound.
They have appeared in important venues of the Athenian underground scene, often together with bands of the same aesthetic with live shows that emphasize intensity and atmosphere.
At the same time, they are working on their first full-length album.
